Congregation Am Echod believes in an intensive and continuous Jewish education for our children and our families. Our families should fully experience the values of Jewish life and ideals of Jewish heritage, with unconditional love, joy and pride. Therefore, Congregation Am Echod has adopted the following principles for our educational program. - Our educational program will instill a love, pride and understanding of Jewish heritage.
- Our educational program will strive to create a warm and positive environment that will foster our Jewish identity.
- Our educational program will foster awareness that will embrace the past, present and future of the Jewish people.
- Our educational program will provide an environment that will teach Hebrew language and strengthen the ties to the Jewish people.
Congregation Am Echod has traveled a journey of more than 100 years. Today, our congregation has a renewed attitude towards lifelong learning. Our curriculum utilizes a great variety of teaching styles and activities. It stresses the sheer enjoyment that can be found in learning. Congregation Am Echod encourages families to work together to form a learning community that will be meaningful to all. It is the hope of Congregation Am Echod that the students of the Am Echod Cooperative School will learn that Reform Judaism is a way of life. In order to learn this, parental involvement in teaching and learning is critical whether at the school or in the home. Children learn from their parents and follow what they do. The parents are the main teachers whereas the school helps to provide the guidance. Please contact our School Administrator or Education Committee Chairperson if you have questions about our education programs.
