One day, as Honi the Circle-Drawer was walking along the road, he saw a man planting a carob tree. Honi asked him, “How long wil lit take to bear fruit?” The man replied, “Seventy years.” Honi asked, “Do you expect to live another 70 years to eat its fruit?” The man replied, “I did not find the world without carob trees when I entered it; as my forefathers planted for me, so I am planting for those who come after me.

* All contributions to our Congregation and its funds are tax exempt.

 

Special Purpose Funds  

Donations to the Am Echod special funds are extremely useful and greatly appreciated. They are used to supplement dues income for general operations and current expenses, and provides funding needed to maintain quality programs and services here at Congregation Am Echod.

Education Fund: Contributions to this fund are to support meaningful education opportunities and programs which are exciting, stimulating and meaningful and which bring students, parents, families and seniors together.

JEO Jewish Education Organization: Contribution to this fund will provide funds for such specific items as classroom/library computers, state of the art preschool room, outdoor playground and outside social gatherings for students of all grades.

Music Fund: Contributions to this fund are to enhance all aspects of Jewish music at Congregation Am Echod. 

Building Fund: Contributions to this fund are used to ensure the long term quality of our building.

Friends of Am Echod: Contributions to this fund are used for the general maintenance of the Synagogue.

Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund: Contributions to the fund are administered and distributed at the Rabbi’s discretion to improve the health and welfare of the synagogue.

Sisterhood Fund: Contributions to this fund support Temple activities as well as religious school needs.

Levitt Scholarship Fund: Contributions are used to help families defray the cost of Jewish Camp experiences for their children.

Morris & Pearl Blumberg Fund: Contributions to this fund are used for Religious School Items. This fund is supported by the Blumberg Family.

Samuel & Rebecca Seidenfeld Fund: Contributions to this fund are used for non-budgeted items for our Congregation and it’s Religious School and Temple Youth Group.

Am Echod Cemetery Fund: Contributions to this fund are used for maintenance of the Am Echod Cemetery located on Grand Avenue ¼ mile east of Green Bay Road.

Endowment Fund  

Dr. Seymour & Ruth Kaiz Endowment Fund: Contributions to this fund are for the long-term preservation of Congregation Am Echod as an ongoing Religious Institution. Only the income earned from investment of contributions toward the endowment fund will used. Gifts, either “outright” or provided in a Will, are encouraged.
